Celtic linked with ex Aberdeen and Kilmarnock keeper Freddie Woodman

Celtic are believed to be weighing up a move for Newcastle keeper Freddie Woodman in the summer.

The 22 year old, who spent time on loan at both Aberdeen and Kilmarnock, has also attracted interest from Fulham, Arsenal and Everton according to Newcastle based daily The Chronicle.

Woodman, who has one year left on his contract, is believed to among the players Rafa Benitez would allow to leave as part of a major shake-up with his Premier League squad in the summer.

The London-born stopper – who has been limited to just three FA Cup appearances this season – made 15 appearances for Kilmarnock in the second half of the 2016/2017 season and eight appearances between the sticks for Aberdeen last year.

Woodman has earned six caps with England U-21s, and saved as penalty in the U-20 World Cup final for England as they ran out victors against Venezuela in South Korea back in June 2017.
